Mugin Demonstrates Social Responsibility in Rescue Operations
On April 10, 2024, police received a report of a missing 35-year-old man with mental health issues and suicidal tendencies. Surveillance footage quickly revealed that the individual had headed towards Damao Mountain in Tong’an District on an electric scooter, with his last known location near Damao Mountain Farm. Given the family’s concerns that he might attempt suicide, the police immediately organized a search and rescue operation with local volunteer teams.
Given the challenging terrain of Damao Mountain—characterized by dense forests, steep cliffs, and harsh weather conditions—traditional search methods were insufficient. Mugin UAV played a critical role with its drone technology. Expert drone operators from Mugin UAV, working in close coordination with the police, 519 Rescue Team, and Polaris Rescue Team, utilized aerial views to guide the search efforts. After more than five hours, the missing individual was unfortunately found deceased in a river at the base of a cliff, likely having jumped in an act of despair, and subsequently washed down by a waterfall.
Mugin UAV has a long-standing commitment to serving the community and actively participates in various rescue operations. This voluntary involvement in the search and rescue operation is another testament to the company’s dedication to social responsibility. On the 1st of October, 2023, during the National Day holidays, the bustling tourist site of Gulangyu Island saw a child separated from his parents. Upon receiving a call from the police, Mugin UAV operators promptly deployed a drone equipped with a loudspeaker to locate and reunite the child with his parents, earning widespread praise for their quick and effective response in ensuring visitor safety.
